The importance of our past is too important to
be denied. We must remember our past. History
is a record of the past and it provides us
with a lot of knowledge about the past activities
and we can learn from our past. It makes us
proud for whatever good things we did.

Though these are some of the importance
of our past but we cannot improve or we cannot
live in it. It is believed that it is never
too late to do something good. We should learn
from our past but we cannot better it. Instead
we should and must try to improve and enhance
our abilities so as to make the most of our
present time.
Once, I used to be very
concerned about my past but then I left
regretting on past. Whenever I did something
wrong, or whenever I could not stand first,
I underestimated my self. After some time I
realized that I should not do that.
Man
is error prone and we can’t help
committing mistakes and even blunders at
times. God has given us mind to think before
we do something. We should think before doing
anything and even if we do commit mistakes,
we should not repent on it rather we should
determine to improve ourselves and try to do
well and avoid silly mistakes.
Our past
is an important part of our life but our
present is more important than our past.
The most significant point is that we cannot
live our past. This should be borne in our
minds that we have to do something for our
present. We have to work hard to be successful
in order to secure our future and only then
can we do something for others and for our
beloved homeland too. Regretting on the past
gives us nothing but only despair and frustrates
us. In this way we cannot do well.

Though I had been to
a couple of universities before being admitted
as a student of Mehran University of
Engineering and Technology, but I was still unaware
of the methods of teaching like all other students
of the same batch.
The first day was not a teaching day. Rather, it was
just like first of April or even more fun-filled
(seemingly dedicated to seniors of M.U.E.T). We, the
students of first year, were very nervous to talk
to anyone. Perhaps this was the very point to
attract the attention of seniors to tease us. Our
faces were like those girls afraid of eve-teasers.
We decided to walk to the department of one of my
friends, when we were left free after the orientation.
While we were walking along the road hiding ourselves
from every stranger in the valley of death, suddenly
a monster-like senior student, apparently of the final
year, stopped us and asked if we were of 07-batch.
Frightened, we nodded in affirmative. We thought this
was the climax but we were left after being skeptically
questioned about our IDs and background. He asked our
names one by one; asked each of us to sing any song or
dance with him. He said that we salute him whenever we
see him.
Thank God! We finally reached our destination.
But wait; we are now surrounded by giants of all sizes.
Every senior took each of us to make fun.
I was asked to push to move a tree.
I told them that I couldn’t do it but then
I was warned of the hostile consequences. I
pushed the tree in a fit of anger helplessly
cursing those devils. My friend was ordered to
dance. He was dancing. I was feeling sorry for
him but I couldn’t control my laughter! He was
also enjoying.
Well, this was all about being disgraced in a
university the very first day. At that time,
every one of us was cursing their fate but after
some time, we realized that this was not a serious
thing as many were in the same condition.
Though we were being made fun of, but we
enjoyed a lot too.

part of the
so-called modern society of today.
People are thought to be uncivilized
if they dont adopt any fashion.
Though things have changed but
people still believe in accepting
the things. Adopting fashion statements
has become the must-have useless
thing. Without knowing whether or
not a kind of get up is suitable
for us, we take it. Torn and off-colored
jeans are the best
monopoly of fashion ever accepted
in such a way that this
is the only thing remained in the
variety of pants. We have forgotten
the provincial and national dress.
We are preoccupied with the westernism.
Since the distances have shrunk, it is
now easy to keep yourself abreast with
the modern fashion statements.
The minds of teenagers are obsessed
with Bollywood.
We cannot deny the fact
fashion has compelled us to adopt
it but it can be done in limits.
Wearing baggy clothes is not the
only kind of fashion. Being decent
is still deemed more important than
being fashionable.
